Jessie, a 4th grader at San Carlos Charter Learning Center, collected 150 cans of tuna for Good Friday sandwiches at Café St. Vincent and made Easter cards to brighten the days of our homeless guests.




Youth Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome youth to volunteer and support school collection drives to help the homeless in our community.  In simple ways you can lift the spirits of so many.

All volunteer service must be scheduled via email. Drop-in volunteers are not accepted due to SVdP safety policy.


Ongoing Opportunities

District Council Office, San Mateo (times vary):
Volunteers help with bulk mailings, data entry, phones etc. Please email for more information.

Homeless Help Centers:
SVDP Homeless Help Centers provide meals and bag lunches, basic hygiene items, clothing, gas and bus tickets. Volunteers help to prepare and serve meals and provide assistance to our homeless guests. Locations are in SSF, San Mateo, Redwood City. Hours and days vary. Please email for more information.

SVdP Stores: Store locations
Volunteer help with sorting, cleaning, organizing store donations. Hours available all week. Please email for more information. Store locations in Redwood City, San Mateo, San Bruno, Daly City and South San Francisco.
