To arrange a pickup, call (650) 871-6844 - calls are answered Mon - Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm. What We Need Clothes Men’s pants, shirts and coats, men’s shoes (especially athletic and good walking shoes) underwear, socks and small hygiene items. Household items Sheets, blankets, towels, dishes, utensils, small electrical items such as crock pots and electric frying pans. Can openers are also needed to distribute with canned goods. Items We Do Not Accept Furniture Any furniture that has stains, spots, rips, tears, pet hair, holes, burns, etc. Water beds and couches over 7 feet long (84 in). Metal, formica tops or desks over 4 feet long; office dividers. Refrigerators and Household Appliances Refrigerators must be self-defrosting and plugged in for at least 24 hours prior to the arrival of our truck. We do not take dishwashers, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, shower doors or shower units. Built-in stoves, doors, windows. Small appliances that are in need of repair. Miscellaneous Items Car parts, tires, paint solvents, chemicals. Pianos and organs. Wall-to-wall carpeting or worn and soiled carpets. Newspapers, magazines or worn books. National Geographic or encyclopedias. Clothing that is badly soiled, worn. Materials or yarn. Perishable food or out-of-date canned food. Medicines Medical equipment - commodes, bath or shower seats.
