SVdP's CATHERINE"S CENTER

“I have come to appreciate SVdP's Catherine's Center so much because I am learning that your attempt is to plant seeds of life into my garden, not thorns. Not many people have done that in my life. I am thankful to be a part of this family.”

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Catherine’s Center represents a fresh beginning for women recently released from incarceration. Through a 24x7 residential program, SVdP’s Catherine’s Center residents are safeguarded, nurtured, mentored, and equipped to make healthier life choices.

Services
Provide safe and supportive interim housing for women who were previously incarcerated

We offer counseling, mentoring, and companionship to help women improve their self-respect and belief that they deserve to be healthy and happy.

Develop each resident’s skills and abilities with positive role models, education, and job training.

Network in the community to identify job opportunities and facilitate placement.

Support graduates to ensure their success outside SVdP’s Catherine’s Center

Benefits
Lives of residents—as well as their children, parents, siblings, and grandparent—are rebuilt.

Graduates are less likely to be incarcerated again, and become positive role models.

Women leave SVdP’s Catherine’s Center better equipped to be productive members of the community.
